Gave my IS250 a good wash and clean today, little bit too sunny but there we go

However, when cleaning the wheels (I know they are in serious need of a refurb) I noticed that my front disc rotors looked quite rusty - not quite how I expected and certainly more rusty looking than the rears.

When my IS went in for the recall, the brakes on the loan car were noticeably better, now this has me wondering if my front calipers are not working properly.

Any thoughts welcome

My rear caliper looked like this on one side due to the caliper seizing. Reasonably easy to check. Had to replace in the end as it was rusted solid in place.

Take a wheel off, unbolt the caliper and see if it is free to move. Check both the piston and the two slide pins (the pins are more likely the cause of a seized caliper on the IS).

Take it for a drive - washing can make the discs look surprisingly rusty. But they do look pretty bad. If they still look anything like that when you get back you need some urgent investigation. Start with checking the slider pins.
