  2. That’s a very very tidy example 👍🏻..sadly so many got scrapped for their engines …MR2’s do a conversion to fit the 3.0 V6 ☹️
  3. I removed the rear seat earlier, no leaks visible but the smell was STRONG. Managed to get the car on a ramp and it looks like a hose at the very tippy top of the tank either leaked, or is leaking. Is there an overflow pipe there? Only noticed the tank, because the rear of the O/S sill was very petrol-y and managed to trace it back.
  4. I’m happy for you, I’m not fond of how the system works on Lexus cars though, but then again I’m a nostalgic of manual AC without touch screens and tons of buttons. The best automatic AC system I tried was on a Seat Ibiza, the previous gen to the current one on sale, it was mono zone but it was powerful and simple, immediate.
  5. Never had a problem with the a/c on auto, the system copes very well with changing conditions even changing the airflow side to side with the direction of the sun.. The climate concierge even set the seat heating/cooling very efficiently ..
  6. Imran......... what a fiasco, unbelievable. I searched Youtube and could only find videos that showed the audio and/or menu buttons as individual switches on the dashboard. I'm not familiar with what's available on touch screens, are there no "icon tools" displaying Audio, Menu, Home, Settings, Bluetooth etc? I would have thought these are needed for owners to set/change update parameters.

  8. If you could disclose your model of Lexus ( Marchy?) I can look up the pipe work routing for you on the exploded diagram.
  9. Simply superb. We drove one of these across Western Canada and I can honestly say it equaled my various LS's, I'm envious! Obviously it would be good to know how much you paid!
  10. My September 2022 model is now up to 77km but this time last year it was around 70km, rising to 72km (peak of 73km) toward the end of summer. Car currently has 22,500km on the odometer. Seems it takes time for everything to get fully settled.
  11. Thank you Nemesis. Page 557 of the online manual says it's an option but can only be activating by a Lexus dealer.
  12. As said above, you will probably get your second fob in a couple of months or hopefully sooner. I waited 6 months but deliveries are speeding up I believe. Lexus Customer service is 0345 129 5484.
  13. I waited about 5 months for my second key. On the bright side - got free car wash 😀
  14. It only comes with one key fob. The second will come as a recall letter. It was due to part shortages
  15. Lately I've been driving the car a lot in EV mode only, like some hundred miles, and the dashboards reads 5.9 kW/whatever is the unit although I've been able to reach almost 7 on some particular roads. This also driving very carefully and slow with a light foot, something that I wouldn't do in HV mode. The 100% range is always 60-61 km or 37 miles without AC, I'm still unable to see the promised 70 km even with summer tires. Let's see if it gets better.
  16. Just converted to Lexus - NX450+ and a very impressive car. On delivery disappointed to receive only one key fob. Two months down the line ignored then given run around by Dealer. Can anyone give me Lexus Head Office phone number. Thank You Steve PS It is a brilliant vehicle
  17. If you set 20C in manual mode (so AUTO button off and manual ventilator speed + manual ventilator zones set) then the AC blows air at that specific temperature, like a home AC unit, but if you activate AUTO then everything relies on the system to set every parameter using the cabin sensors such as the the temperature sensor and light sensor so that the unit can “see” which directions the sun comes through the windows and windshield. This is the problem I have, since the remote AC is only operated with the AUTO mode, if the sensor reads a wrong temperature then it won’t work properly. I never use AUTO mode because on Lexus and Toyota cars I find it useless and very slow or inaccurate, so I always use the manual mode which defeats the purpose of having a climate control unit…and yes I’m aware that there are 3 “speeds” ECO/NORMAL/FAST to set the AUTO mode in, but the remote AC is set to NORMAL as default each time you send the command, so you can’t do anything to speed up the cooling/heating process. In any case, I expected to find a cooled down cabin but it wasn’t even remotely warm after 17 minutes of AC running (supposedly), it was still hot. There’s also no way to skip the 20 minutes timer, despite having the car actively charging up, but then again I see the safety mechanism of preventing the battery to be drained if there wasn’t a time limit and you forgot to deactivate the function…but then again if the car is connected and the battery is charting then it can’t be drained to 0%.
  18. Received written confirmation of my booking in August. Nor only did they confirm the model they provided the reg !
  19. Don't keep us waiting .get a pic up 👍😀
  20. I always thought the temperature displayed on the dash was the ambient air temp, not the cabin temp and nothing to do with the a/c. If one sets the climate control to 20c the system will operate to achieve that temp irrespective of the outside/ambient temp by heating or cooling.
  21. Evening all, Took delivery of my new (to me) IS300h F-Sport and I absolutely love it. Wife just recently passed her test and has been bequeathed the family Renault Scenic, so going from that to the Lexus is absolutely mind blowing! So far I've only tried to change gears 3 times, I'll get there though.
  22. It seems too little too late for many people. Also whatever they roll out in the next few months may not prevent attempted theft and damage anyway. The car's at the top of the theft charts and until thieves work out that security fixes are in place I guess the theft attempts will continue unabated for a good year or so until they realise they're not getting what they were after. Sadly, this all but rules me out if for no other reason I wont be paying exorbitant insurance premiums to anyone.
  23. @Simpson Iain thanks for this. I have an interior lining under the bonnet so I'll take that off and see if its behind there. I've traced the line as best I can and cannot see one anywhere along it. The lining fixings look quite substantial!! They look like large headed plastic rivets which don't look easy to remove 🙄
  24. Today I left my car charing in the supermarket park while I was shopping for groceries and since it was parked under the sun for 1 hour I figured out I could activate the remote AC to find a cooled cabin and boot. The AC started and operated at 22ºC as per Lexus Link+ for 17 minutes (the timer allows maximum 20 minutes) but when I got to the car the cabin was hot. 😑 When I turned the ignition on, the thermometer on the dashboard was reading 19ºC, under the hot sun, while the real temperature outside was 25ºC, so the cabin would’ve been at least 30ºC at minimum, and while I drove back the temperature on the display increased to 21ºC. The problem with this is that the AUTO A/C relies on that thermometer to operate, and that’s the default mode the climate control operates via the app (you can’t operate the AC in manual mode choosing the fan speed and other settings), therefore if the cabin thermometer reads 19ºC when I chose to start the remote A/C set at 22ºC, the system simply won’t operate because it thinks that the cabin is colder than what I asked. Anyways, I can’t go lower than 18ºC on the app, not even to the LO setting. This **** right here was exactly the same with my previous UX 250h, minus the remote function of course. Can it be a faulty sensor or it’s just another annoying Toyota feature that I need to add to the list? The AUTO feature is rubbish, I always use the climate in manual mode.
