Bumper Protector

Recommended Posts

While I was in the dealership I noticed a brand new is300 which had a bumper protector fitted. I like the look so bought one. My bumper had a few marks & scratches so it covered them up to. It is an OE part so fits properly.

I like that!, was it expensive? (and do you the part number by any chance?)

All Lexus accessorises are expensive!! part no GBNGA-LXISB-PP. I bought it on eBay from the Lexus Birmingham eBay shop. Look up the price yourself as I am in denial. :tsktsk:

Isn't it part of the "Protection Pack", which also includes rubber boot tray? I didn't realise they could be bought separately, though.

yep I think it is but £120!!! Im sure you could have haggled some off of that!

£120.00 for what appears to be a strip of self adhesive plastic........wow!

I paid the bargain price of £90 delivered. Strange enough for a Lexus part it is made in the UK.

Cheaper non OE one here. I nearly went for this but decided to pay Lexus price for the OE.

I got a set of premium mats & a boot liner with mine doubt I could have negotiated anything else!!

Haha I guess that's fair enough then. I don't thsee protectors have been out that long. Looks great on red but the one I had on white demo stood out too much

The Lexus OE bumper guard is made in UK. This leads me to believe that this company make them for Lexus who put them into a branded box and charge double!!

  • 1 month later...

I have an aluminium one on order. I assume its an OE

On order from who? I don't think Lexus make them from aluminum, maybe a new MY part :innocent: Or probably ABS made to look like alluminium?? Rearguards have them and imho make them for Lexus. I prefer black as it matches the bumper and compliments the Mesa Red. Aluminum or Carbon Fiber may look good on a white or silver car.

Post some pics.

I have just bought a white F Sport - collecting it this weekend and it had a black one on, told the salesman that it looked unsightly and he said he can get a silver one (assumed it is alloy colored)

I may have the part number as it is on the order form

Brushed aluminum? TBH I prefer the black one with Mesa red as it looks more factory. Maybe not on a white car though.

Some higher res pics of your car would be nice :flowers:

It's aluminium effect plastic. Thing it's £70 inc shipping from rearguards which make them. Sticks on with 3M tape

I know see post 11!!

Yep the dealers buy them directly at even less. They get them for about £45

Rare...... Not much chat on here regarding 250's I nearly bought a 300h, however you cannot compare the driving experience between the two in my opinion, i stood back and considered the pros and cons and came up with the conclusion that you cannot put a cost on the driving experience and therefore could justify the £290 road tax and the slightly less fuel consumption. I spent three months looking for a 250 and visited numerous dealerships. I got exactly what I wanted white with red leather and Levinson
