Shinny Dashboard Window Glare

Just wondered if there was a way to reduce the shinny dashboard glare on the window as it can hinder visibility when the suns out.

Hi abecketts,

Had this problem with several cars although not noticed it in the Lexus as the big red thing in the sky is still sleeping in The UK. Got this tip from a police BMW motorway Cop and it works.

Get a black bath towel, cheap in Tescos, and folded in two and spread over the dashboard top it cures the problem. You may find it slides about on cornering and needs weighting down with something up near the windscreen or you can use stick on valcro patches, available in Halfords, to anchor it more proffesionally or Lexus like.

I use Armorall wipes.

They seem to clean but leave a matt finish.

You probably have years of built up grime and oils on the dash making it shiny. Clean it with some diluted all purpose cleaner, should get rid of the glare.
