New IS250 owner

Hi all,

I am very pleased to say how impressed I am with this New (to me) IS250 is.

It is a light blue metallic, not sure the colour Lexus call it.

It is 57 reg, and almost immaculate.

Very smooth, almost like the car just floats along, no engine noise at all.

I will be looking to get a spare fob, as I only got just the one, when I bought it.

So I guess a trip to Lexus for a spare, and any deletion of previous unknown keys is needed.

Thanks all,

Vette

Hi Graham and welcome to the LOC, we are a friendly bunch and some of us even know how to pull them to bits and put them back together again, with of course the one bolt and washer left over.

We recommend you spend a couple of mins looking over the rules of the LOC, we will be asking questions later

Regards Mike.

Hello,

Thank you all for the welcome.

She rides very smooth being the V6, and reasonably quick.

We just need to get another fob sorted out, Lexus just quoted me 359.00

Which I feel is excessive, so maybe a hunting on eBay.

Graham

Cor like the front gates to your place in picture 1. Great car too. Mike

Hi Mike,

Wish they were my gates.

Actually, the gates to Warrinton Town Hall.

i believe they were originally made for Buckingham Palace, but when they were cast and painted, they were deamed not pretty enough for the Palace.

Quite how Warrington got them I dont know.

Town Hall was originally Bank Park, owned by some super rich in the middle 1700's

Vette that is a cool colour on the IS. It is a shame dealers charge a lot for programming electronic key fobs. I had to for out about £380+ vat at Mercedes once when our key died. Unfortunately these can only be sourced at main dealers as the fob has to be specifically programmed to match the car's ECU.
