Radio interference with heated rear window

Recommended Posts

This has come up a few times.

Try the search facility for this forum.

The only bit I can recall was talk of secondary tint kits applied and causing issues.

The aerial is located in the very top portion of the rear window. If you didn't know it would be easy to assume all the wires are for the HRW.

It's not a huge problem but it is quite annoying.

Does any one else have this issue?

If so how did you fix it?

Thanks

Ben

Mine plays up from time to time, normally if iv been playing cds a bit on the loud side. To be honest i hardly have radio on,but it is a pain also if rear screen

is on a waste of time completely. So normski has probrably hit the nail on the head.

I doubt very much that it's to do with tints, or the heater elements, because I have an RX300 with factory tints and an external aerial and it happens on mine too.

By the way Normski, nice to see a fellow Crimson fan

That's excellent, cheers chaps. It gives me a few things to try.

I'll try to report back if I find it is anything different than what these guys have found.
