Being in the southern regions where the sun shines alot  I need to get to Stockholm but need to travel by ferry to the mainland

Does anyone know of the best ferries that may leave say from dover, harwich or even portsmouth that will get us anywhere as near as poss on the mainland so the drive back to stockholm is not such a long one?

I know bugger all about ferries

thanks

I reckon you wanna get to Gothenburg (Goteborg).

DFDS used to direct from Harwich but stopped that route.

Can still do it from Newcastle via Kristiansand

Or from Harwich you can go DFDS to Esbjerg in Denmark.

Drive north and get a Stena from Frededrikshavn to Goteborg.

Do you have to drive there? Easier to fly i would think.

Is this any help ?

Harwich to Hook van Holland might be okay, I used it last year to go to TTE

They have these superferry things which only take about 3.5hrs to cross, Stenalink was the company I think.

well its not me who is going.. my car is gonna live there

The buyer needs to drive it back.. but we dont want to drive to newcastle

Have you considered getting it transported there ? Bit of a long shot maybe.

Car transport companies bringing cars to uk might be up for a back load ?
