LS430 main beam bulb. HB4 or HB3?

Recommended Posts

Thanks Steve, mine is post 07.  I was simply looking at getting something a bit brighter as the original bulbs seem very dull, but there doesn't seem to be much available.  I was hoping for something like the "Nightbreaker" bulbs but they don't seem to exist for mine.  Maybe just replacing the old for new would help.

The bulb in that drawing most certainly isn't an H1 bulb...they don't have that angled plastic connector. The part number is apparently 90080-81041, and upon googling that I got references to 9005 bulbs, which is the same as HB3. Performance versions of those are available; I just ordered a pair Osram Nightbreaker Laser HB3 bulbs for the main beams on my father's RX400h.

Before ordering anything, I'd check the owner's manual just to be sure.

Therein lies my problem, my manual is in Japanese! My checks seem to suggest HB3.
