Not only that but the inner bearing sleeve will need removing from the hub flange. Given the cost of the bearing alone plus the labour to remove the remnants and fit the new one it may be a better option to replace the complete hub assy.

BTW did you remove the bearing fixing circlip fitted on the rear of the bearing face?

Can I ask how much you paid?

That’s some press, IKea flat pack too, just hope the left handed spanner isn’t missing from the nuts and bolts pack 😀

Got to ask, would it not have been more cost and time effective to just replace the complete hub?

Hi Allan

Take off the parking brake assembly and give yourself more room.

Tap four new larger bolts into the existing hub bolt holes  fasten in a couple of anchors and pull with the puller after applying some heat to the hub bearing housing.

The remaining part of the hub should then just pull off  ,it is probably seized to the shaft.

That's good advice and better than mine😄 I thought it may be the same as the LS400 but it isn't so ignore my advice..............as far as I can see, for a LS430 the bearing/hub assembly is one unit and bolts to the main carrier assembly which is different to my LS400 where the bearing is part of the complete hub assembly and needs to be pressed out and in again (I stand to be corrected though)

First I bought this one....

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FOR-LEXUS-LS430-3UZ-FE-2000-2006-NEW-1-X-REAR-WHEEL-BEARING-HUB-KIT-WITH-NUTS/301773494811?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

they came back to me and said I had ordered the wrong one... which I had not ... lie number 1

Then they told me lucky me they had in stock another brand that they could do at the same price....Lie number 2

I googled the company... and I found the item they said they would do at the same price as the 1st one....

https://a2zmotorspares.com/spare-part/wheel-bearing-kit-optimal-982552

so I cancelled the order and found this one with a little more searching ..

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wheel-Bearing-Kit-fits-LEXUS-LS430-UCF30-4-3-Rear-00-to-06-3UZ-FE-ADL-4241050030/233368612165?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

Part has arrived and looks to be good quality.

I was taking the whole hub out.... I have had them out before with a hub puller but this was so tight that it came apart oh well.... tomorrow is hub removal day... well hub carrier thingy.

I live in a ****y new build estate loads lots of people looking down their noses at my car with the wheel off it... like "oh you peasant you have to fix your own car"

I thought they'd look up to you in awe and wonder thinking "what a clever fellow, if only one had the skill to do one's repairs, one is sooo impressed"

I think A2Z have been mentioned previously regarding the quality of their parts, seem to remember front Upper Control Arm rubber ball joint covers rotting away months after fitment.

I didn't know that Steve...I dodged a bullet then.

I bought a low quality front hub before (Needed it fast) 4 whole weeks before there was movement in it.

Always makes me smile with the mobile phone adverts as they are always “focused” on the camera capabilities and not what the device actually is.

They have certainly come a long way with the cameras, it wasn’t that long ago, when I worked in broadcast, that Mini DV and Digibeta were the professional formats and now a mobile phone can give equivalent, if not better results.
