Give Blood!

The original thread started about blood donation was a good point.. Many people that would once have readily been able and willing to give blood can now not do so after the recent news on transfusion recipients.. There is absolutely no proof that people giving blood to save other peoples lives are at risk of infection or disease... If you can give blood and are willing then please still do.. Many people will be grateful Off the bandwagon now.. DEFO BEDTIME

Never been swayed by other peoples comments :winky: when blood is taken it goes through a vigarous cleansing process to remove any impurities.

wouldnt be a bad idea , if the hospitals set up the blood doner area next to the casualty dept,

allways tend to have a long wait , and it would give people no excuses about not having time etc:

yeah that does sound like a good idea.. i though years ago they used to pay anyway.. i hate needles but i should really consider doing it after all my dad has just got his gold heart for donating.. not sure how many pints that is though..

I'm told I can't as I caught a virulent form of malaria when I was a young un. According to my mother i was nearly a goner...............
