Unexpected Result

My electric garage door lifter with built in light decided to blow the 24v 21w bulb. It has always been a little less bright than I would like so I took the opportunity to replace it with the equivalent LED. Much to my surprise when I put my car in the garage following the bulb replacement the car would not lock using the door button or the key fob button. After waiting for the timed light to extinguish all controls worked fine. I have discovered that the small red key fob LED flashes without being pressed and it works as expected in some different (awkward) locations in my garage. Dpes anyone have the knowledge to explain as to why this occurs. It's not a massive problem , just curious.

All the best Paul
