IS250 F Sport (3rd Gen) - Any common issues to look out for?

Hi Guys,

I am looking to buy an IS250 2013 3rd Gen.

Is there anything I need to check which are common faults with these models?

Does any servicing need to be done at a particular mileage that could be coming up?

Anything to look out for would be great so I can double check.

Cheers,

Hi Isaac and welcome to the best Lexus forum there is. So you're looking to but a gen 3 is250? No common issues on the 3rd gen that I can think of. I suggest you look in the gen 3 IS section of the forum where you'll find all the information you need.

Just a couple of general thoughts, which you might already have covered being a previous owner of a Lexus.

My 3rd Gen came with two manuals totalling about 1100 pages.  Even if you have the hard copies, I’ve found it quite handy to download them.  And if you register it with My Lexus - and it’s been serviced by a Lexus dealer - you can find out a lot more about the car’s history.

Finally, if it doesn’t already have one, I would insist on a proper spare wheel - even a SpaceSaver is better than having to rely on the can of injectable gloop that sometimes substitutes.

I hope all goes well.  Are you px-img the 2010 car?
