Its driving me nuts, what is this navigation line?

Ok, please can someone tell me why on the navigation do I have a purple and dotted white line.

Is this a "most frequently used road" feature, or is my car spying on me, tracking my every movement?

Can I turn this off or does it have a use?

Also I still can't get the damn thing to show red, yellow or green colours for traffic on roads.

The white dots may be "bread crumbs" the nav's way of showing you the way back. It can be disabled in the nav settings, check the handbook for details.

As for the traffic info that is also a switchable option, make sure it's enabled and you have internet connection.

Further to Peter's reply with regards to the dotted line - I believe that this may be due to you having "Route trace" turned on in the Navigation settings.

Might be worth checking these settings or finding reference to it in the handbook.

Brilliant, thanks I will take a look.  The dealer didn't supply me with a manual so I am left figuring things out myself.

Hard copies are a rarity these days. Do as Colin suggests and download the pdf versions, much easier to navigate with the Ctrl+F function...

No route trace option. There is a save route option.

Try turning that option off (page 127 in the Nav handbook)

I think that has done it, and now I get the traffic colours along the roads.
