Insurance Claim Assistance

I recall in the past year a member had a problem with their Insurance company over the valuation of their write off vehicle. One of suggestions proposed was the assistance of a Specialist Company

that would take up the case and negotiate with the Insurance company on their behalf. I have tried searching for the information on here but have been unsuccessful.

My problem is slightly different but still an Insurance Claim, I have submitted a Household Insurance Claim but am feeling a bit ignored and that my problem is not been totally accepted.

Therefore, can any member point me in the right area where I can find the original content, and in fact do these Specialist companies also help with House Insurance Claims

Many thanks in advance

or indeed their own  Legal Advice Help Line  ??

OR  maybe your own car insurer's Legal Advice Help Line ..... of course it might even be the same Help Line that they both use !

Thanks Piers, Malcolm and Andrew for your input but I am reluctant to involve Complaints and Legal departments from the same

Company - "if they are all paid from the same pot, they will all sing from the same song sheet".

I have done a bit more Googling and apparently, I need the assistance of a Loss Assessor NOT a Loss Adjuster.

then get them to do it all on a " no win no fee " basis otherwise you might be ££££s out of pocket

and ensure that "no win,no fee" means that you do not pay ANYTHING AT ALL for their services.Read the small print and the smaller print very carefully.

Are you thinking of a Claims Management Company Stephen ?

If yes, then there are some good reviews and some not so good. Be careful and do your homework.

John, Point well taken about no win-no fee and the small print. What is the difference between a Claims Management Company and a Loss Assessor?

Stephen, I am neither qualified nor experienced to answer your question with authority,

You should however find some meaningful and authoritative information here.Good luck and do let us all know how you get on please.
