15 rx450h wet drivers footwell.

Hi all, I have recently found the drivers footwell is getting wet in my 15 rx450h, I have tried searching on here but my one doesn't have a sunroof and lexus won't touch it via warranty even though only had the car a few months. Anyone have any ideas?

Not as far as I know.

do you have roof bars  ? that might be a way for water to get in and run down the inside of the trim ?  

Leak in the heater system ?

If you purchased from a Lexus dealer it comes with one year Lexus warranty and so they should fix it under that warranty?

Whether bought from a Lexus Dealer or not, if  you have had it for less then 6 months,then it is nothing to do with any warranty which may have been provided. The Seller is legally obliged to fix it at his cost.Do remind him of his responsibilities under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and let us all know how you get on.

The dealer has already said not covered by warranty and I don't have roof bars.

I'm not sure that the dealer is entitled to say that without knowing how the water is getting in.

I am certain Martin. It is the responsibility of the Dealer to identify and correct at his own cost. Parliament has decreed under the Consumer Protection Act 2015 and it is not for anyone to ignore a Statutory Responsibility. 

If it is a Lexus Dealer we should hang hm by the short and curlies !

The water pipe for the rear screen wash goes up that pillar and I think there's a joint somewhere around there. It's possible that the water in the pipe has frozen, expanded, and forced the pipe joint to come apart.
