Hey guys, new family member here coming with a CT200h, purchased this week. Don't have any photos of it yet, but I'l go through a list of features: 2014 make year, white pearl, black leather heated seats, backup camera, navigation - fixed type. I believe that all other features are standard, I've seen them on all the cars I've checked before purchasing this one. I'm from Romania and the car has been imported from Austria.

This is my wife's car, I drive an A6 C7 3.0bitdi, and the Toyota system is 100% new to me, I have absolutely no idea about anything, I just know that the 1.8vvti engine is very sturdy, CVT is a very comfortable gearbox, and went for Lexus as it offers all the comfort needed in a daily city commute.

So, I'll start reading about it, maybe ask a question here or there, but so far, the car is lovely to drive. I may even consider replacing the Audi with something else from Lexus :D

Tomorrow I have to order the summer tyres, the seat bolster for the kid and hopefully I can find a nice set of mats, the rubber ones I’ll use them in the winter 😃

Thanks Steve! I thought so too, locally I haven’t found any with this setup then all of a sudden this piece was imported and I was able to get it 🥰

I also ordered the tyres - Hankook Prime 4, they looked like quite good tyres on reviews.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!

I got my hands on an owner's manual, and hopefully by the end of the week I can read through it, see how stuff works. That's because until then the car is in the parking lot, I don't have plates for it 😞 I don't know how is it in the UK, but in Romania it's a nightmare to register a car, especially one that's been imported... Not to mention the Lexus community here is pretty slim at best, and I have a feeling it's gonna be difficult to even find the floor mats I wanted. Well, we'll see in the long run 🙂

That’s what we like to hear, Nic!  😊

Sounds like you’re just the kind of caring owner your Lexus deserves.

Mind you, they’re not an easy read - at least mine aren’t.  Two volumes and 1100 pages!  No wonder owners prefer to ask the LOC  for advice!

All the best with it. 👍

I'm usually a self-taught person, and regarding my cars I want to try to understand on my own rather than to ask for advice - I will, but now it's not the case yet. The more I read about something, the more I understand and that's what I'm aiming for 😉

You have no idea how much I've read when my A6 started to randomly blow hot air in the middle of the summer, until I found out that there is a fresh air temperature sensor that would once in a while misread the air temp and deactivate the AC... Nobody knew, not even the Audi dealership...

  • 2 weeks later...

Hey guys, quick update on my Lexus - I managed to get my hands on a navigation card with Eastern Europe, great success! Now I am no longer in the middle of nowhere 😄

Last week I also did the authetication at our authority, and they also do the tehnical inspection - absolutely no issue 😁

Tomorrow I should receive the onboard dash cam I ordered (same as for the Audi) 70mai A500 Dash Cam Pro Plus, front + rear, and I need to find the time to install it. I found an electrical diagram of the fuse boxes, but if you have any idea where I should best connect it, please share your ideas. What I am a bit concerned about is how to pull the cable from the rear to the front without interfering with the SRS curtain airbags...

I would also like to hear your thoughts on the CVT gearbox oil change - what's the interval for changing it? The car has 170k km on board, and I guess I should do it, because the dealership says that the service history will NOT mention this operation by name, if it has been done it is included under some "Accessory exchange" generic naming that they have...
