I've seen it mentioned on the forums at between £600 and £700. Lexus main sealer would probably want £1,000?

The kits sell on eBay for around £300. The radiator needs to be removed or moved to get at everything.

Watched lots of videos on YouTube and it seems a straightforward job for most mechanics (not me thankyou) - Should be half a day job?

Needs replacing every 100,000 miles or every 10 years or whichever comes first.

If you fancy a trip to Lexus Sheffield they will do it for a reasonable price as per this info from the Lexus SC430 owners UK site on Facebook posted in Feb this year.

Evening all!

Lexus Sheffield after sales director Gary Hudson called me this morning to say that the £499 cambelt and water pump replacement including labour and coolant offer will have to end due to price inflation on parts and sundries.

Good news!!! Lexus Sheffield will still offer all Lexus SC430 Club UK members the same excellent offer with a slight increase to £599. This £100 increase is still GREAT bargain.

Take advantage of this wonderful offer and also book you SC or any other Lexus vehicle in for a service with Lexus Sheffield.

Thank you all. Iooking forward in see you all at this year's workshop and car show in June.

Best wishes.
Juan.

Not exactly on point but I highly recommend Lexus Sheffield and Gary Hudson.  They have been looking after my LS430 and now Ls600hl. Got me out of trouble and saved me money.

I used Westfield Motors in Rayleigh to fit the belts, water pump etc'.

As I had previously order the required parts from Rock Autos in the US and supplied them to Westfield Motors. They reported they were impressed with the quality of parts.

I have had the same experience with Lexus Leeds and the service manager Jordan Robinson.

I called in last Friday to book in for a service. It is approaching 100k and it's 16 years old. It is booked for Wednesday 1st November.

The cost of a big service is £660 and I am told that includes a timing belt replacement!

I recon that's good value!
