Various Maintenance Intervals

The sat nav on my IS has a maintenance scheduler built into it - oil, brakes, air filter etc.

I want to populate this with the appropriate information, can anybody point to or post any maintenance intervals for an 02 IS200?

This info should all be in the handbook, or the warranty booklet.

Things like how many miles before you change air filer, cambelt, gearbox oil, etc.

I'm sure it says it in mine 2001 IS200, I looked it up recently to see what they do on the 10000 service (not much):D

As far as I can see - Oil change, filter change & grease the steering wheel :smilegrin: (and it still takes 2 hours !)

Is this scheduler thingy a new feature of the sat nav in the newer IS ?

FYI this it what is says in the manual:-

INTERMEDIATE service every 10000 miles or 1 year.

Replace:- Oil and Filter

Inspect:- Air Filter, Pads and disks, Power steering fluid, Lights, tyres, ball joints etc.

FULL Service every 20000 or 2 years.

Inspect:- Everything

Replace:- Oil & Filter, Rear Diff Oil, Air con fluid, Brake Fluid, Tighten drive shaft bolts.

Then additional:-

Replace:-

Air Filter - 4 years.

Spark Plugs - 60000 miles.

Engine Coolant - 3rd year/40000 miles then every 2 years/20000 miles.

Timing Belt - 100000 miles.

Inspections:-

Transmission Oil - 4 years/40000 miles.

Valve clearance - 6 years/60000 miles.

Drive Belts - 6th year/60000 miles then every 10000 miles/1 year.

Charcoal canister - every 2 years/30000 miles.

ATF inspected - Every 3 years/27000 miles

It might be - on my 02 IS, the sat nav has been significantly upgraded - apparently it is the same unit as in the SC430.

It

- is DVD based,

- works in most of Europe,

- gives instructions in 8 languages,

- does not have a touch screen (has a control panel below the gear stick)

So - if the previous sat nav was not like this - it may not have had a maintenance scheduler, calendar etc.
