its definately the two pre cats directly coming off the manifold im getting rid of.

I havent had much of a chance to look under the car yet but i think i may be getting confused with the silencer as the last cat.

oh well i will just get it made up for myself until i have a complete system made up after the christmas spend!

my experience is this,, if you have your precats removed (the bits in the manifold) then this leads to a throatier sound aswell as a 'little' extra performance, but the main reason for a decat would be for the s/c owners as they can break up.. however one thing to bear (or is it bare) in mind is MOT time,, it took lexus 45mins JUST to get the engine warm enough to allow it to pass the emmsions and that was on top of a 30min stop start drive in moring rush hour traffic.

now i have got a stainless XERD race pipe (second picture and below the manifold) on my 300, was only 189 USD and gives 8-13 HP gain (on paper) this removes a cat aswell.
