Headlight Conversion

Recommended Posts

Hi All

I have cracked one of my headlights (backed my other car into it what a :tsktsk: ) so I was looking at putting IS300 hid headlights on i have searched the other posts and all I can find out is it is not a straight swap and it’s not easy anyone got anymore details of what needs doing.

Cheers in advance

Ade

It could get expensive mate, Zee did something similar and you need a lot of kit, the new lenses, ballasts, wiring looms etc etc, don't know if Zee had the levelling systems fitted either... Modifications to the car were required too...

To be honest would probably be cheaper to just buy a standard replacement unit and fit the Prolex or another manufacturers aftermarket HID kit.

I have the Prolex kit rated at 6300k I think it is and it's great :)

Cheers i have fitted prolex's kit but as i have a crack in the lens someone has offered me just the is300 headlights and thought if it isn't to much work i would just put the headlights on without all the selfleveling

The self levelling on an IS300 in not part of the headlamps but the balasts are

When we did Zee's we had to refrabricate the wings in order to fit the IS300 headlamps
