Bare with this post there is a point: i've been in LOC for some time now and its clear that LOC is a community offering a collaboration of knowledge for the thread starter "advice is free", but when someone is in real trouble the LOC team together on a different level, i have seen this a few times before but never thought it would happen to me, "it did". My passion is geometry an area so misunderstood globally i built a web site to help "you" for free, all was well untill my computer got a virus and will need to be formated but i have no way to save my site, 100s of hours of work. This is the point, all you newbies read on: thanks to that extra LOC step Scarface accessed my ftp and saved my site on to cd then posted it to me at his own expence, necromax posted me softwear that will develop a better site for me at his own expence, and anees has offerd to re-build my computer at cost. I commend LOC and it's members with extended thanks, and dont forget all that are reading this next time it could be you.....

I have friends that have joined EVO owners clubs, IMPREZA, BMW clubs and the impression they give (sweeping statement warning) it that they are all stuck up and don't try to help anyone - just to make sure their car is better then everyone else - one-up-manship!

I aggree "most"of the forums i have been into seem to be hostile, whats the point of any post if all you get is a text slap in the face, i feel alot of people here can see that extra mile that LOC "owns" and when needed cannot be in dispute.

I am sure this must be because owning and driving a Lexus is one of the ultimate owner/driving car experience,that keeps us as owners happy,and if you are happy,then you are more inclined to help other people,than lets say somene who is miserable with his/her B*w or other prestige cars that have not the reliability of the Lexus.

We all offer our skills on selected topics, but never did i expect such a helping hand. In my offline life the pc problems would cost me £ssss now with the help from scarface/ necromax/ anees and all those posts i am back on my feet. When "you" at LOC spend your own time and (money) to help somone behind the text it makes me feel very humble....

this is the type of stuff i love to hear...

i've been on a few other "non car-related forums" and nowhere have i seen people sing such good praises about other people... i'm feeling the vibe here.

btw: i used to be a mechanic, and now work in the IT industry, so i've seen both sides of the working world, and even though i've only been posting for less than 12 hours, i already feel like i want to help someone... (but just lacking the knowledge and experience at the moment) Dont worry though, i always give things my best effort.

This a great forum. I watched for a long time before getting involved.

The club rules say it all R.E.S.P.E.C.T if you got nothing to say don't post.

Also on the Honda Owners Club (old bikes) for about 2 years, if you need help it is at hand all members pool knowledge, same as LOC.

Same as me :) I watched and had a peak around before i started posting, gotta say, that if there is one thing about being in a club... you should KNOW that there are friends you can rely on :D

hence the reason i'm here... and planning on staying for a long time B)

I can also say with confidence that this has got to be the best club I have ever been in.. and know first hand on how generous and helpful L.O.C Members are.. so much so that I am still here and I dont have the Lex anymore but I dont wish to lose contact with those people I have met through here and still wish to help when I can, I can say that the MG-ROVER org is not as freindly.. But not that bad though ..lol
