Looks like a very polished version of the tvr colour. A guys got a Tamora in my works car park, and it's one of those chromatic paint jobbies, sort of green/purple. It looks really nice and shifts colour and this reminds me of that.

I saw a complete chrome painted M3 in a magazine a long while back.

In the feature, I swear it mentioned the paint job was illegal - but didn't actually say why. I don't think I was dreaming!

i guess it would be.

something to do with obstructing other road users view

e.g on a sunny day the reflection could blind another driver causing accidents.

i'm only guessing though.

my dad said it's illegal too, but i can't remember the reason he gave.

Here in Germany the maximum of chrome is ~15% (?) (outside).

Think its a EU-Reglement.
