Hi all,

im seriously considering buying an IS200 in the next couple of weeks, the only thing i am pondering on is the fuel economy. I dont particually do Lots of miles. probs only about 150-200 miles per week! how much you think this will cost in fuel?

Also is there a huge different in fuel consumption between the RS200 and the IS200

appreciate the help!

Well, I do approx 100 miles per week locally - so not alot of long distance driving - and my fuel costs are about £12 - £13 per week.

I do around 300 miles per week through town going to and from East London to Heathrow. Sure i have an automatic but i drive like a gent (IMO) and definetly not like a boy racer but it still costs me around 55 pounds a week. :crybaby:

Its the only thing i HATE about my IS200. Enough to make me consider getting rid of it.

300-350 miles a week 50-60 depending on service stn :driving:

Ditto. However as most is company milage I can claim back at 40p per mile. However that is about to drop to 22p as I go over 4,000 mile allocation. At current prices will only just cover fuel costs! :o

I opted out of the company car scheme and took cash alternative to buy an IS. My company pays 40p for first 4,000 miles the 22p thereafter for ccompany miles. That is regardsless of what you drive so you would get same rate for a 1.1litre or a frugal diesel, or a 3litre.

Checked my mpg after I put £40 worth of fuel in @ 95.9 pence/litre and this covered 255 miles and although alot was on a motorway (at high speed) the rest was stopping and starting around town!

So 30mpg I thought was really good! Till my friend pointed out his 1.4 quicksilver gets about 45!! Lol :D

You boys are nutters, a couple of days ago Zee was with me (Aido) and we did 210 miles from the petrol station, where it was filled to the brim, until the light came on :o

Think I must have been excited but it's rare for me to get over 250 miles out of a tank, and I've been calmer lately
