Noise

Hello all

i have noticed a strange noise when car is running (hard to describe on here)

wurring sound and when i rev at low revs it is heard in the car more than outside

it seems to point me to power steer pump, i have had fitted a new water pump & Cam belt by Dealer, so i am sure it is not them

question

how often should the oil be changed in the system for power steering? and if it is the pump any ideas on costs

It dont affect the drive i just turn up the stereo :D

Hi,

How long ago did you have the water pump and belt done?

If its not that long ago i would take it back to the dealer and get them to check nothings come lose or has been put back together right.

Check all the fluid levels and every fluid is the right colour it should be.

cheers i will get it checked

belt was done less than a year ago

water pump 2 months ago

but i am sure it is the power steer pump

i am going to take the belt off it this weekend while the car is on drive and run engine

and see if the noise is still there

The fluid doesn't need to be changed although it's a good idea it is every 5 years.
