I reported a recall on June 27th this year, quote:

When I picked up my Lex from its last service at Lexus Bristol I found a very nice full set of luxury carpet mats, complete with gold 'Lexus' emblem on the front mats. Lexus Bristol told me they were fitted as they had a 'recall' on the originals??!! Must say the new ones are a lot better quality....

Quality mate, hopefully they should be here soon :D

I have one hole for the hook in my carpet and yet there are two holes in my mat. Does this mean that my car is due a recall? Car is registered in Oct 2000

Mine's got 1 hole in the carpet, and 1 hole in the mat... registered Feb 2001.

Well it's done :o

they've changed the clip I had to the exact same one, and replaced the mats with new ones, the new one's don't have Lexus embroidered into the mats now though?

Apart from that they're identical :D

Can't fault the service at Notts, Louise is doing a great job there :D

Yeah just the one clip still, just make sure you install it correctly with the hook preventing the mat from slipping forward - I've seen this the wrong way around loads!

  • 5 months later...

I had a shifting mat when I first bought my 2002(02) 300SC 15 months ago. I discovered that although it had 2 clips, there was only one mat eyelet, and the mat had slipped out of it.

I knew nothing about a recall, so I just made another hole in the mat with a screwdriver to sort it. It's been no problem since.

Come to think of it, the mats did look new at the time, which implies they still supply them with just one hole. They are plain black mats with no logos on.

IanB :D
