Quantify..........it's called science. You are comparing a result without having a baseline and therefore the result is worthless

Mike, I wouldn't say my result is worthless, maybe to you ...... not to me mate.

Like I said, and I'll say again ......... as far as I'm concerned, my car is 185 RWBHP, and that's all I care ......... ;)

feel very proud of yourself mate

at least youre one up on jason now

its a shame that before and after measurements were not taken, and i am surprised TDI didnt insist on them, what could have been a prooven gain is now open to debate and has no real value

thinks mark slipped up there, especially with the competition biting at his heels ;)

twas Zee who said 38bhp increase.

Correct.

Me or Mark were not claiming that 38 bhp increase.

BUT you did say on the janspeed thread yours was dyno'd at 147.

so errr im afraid that is a 38horse gain... both which err is what you had said im afraid mr pacino mate lol.

one is at the wheel

one is at the hub

many variables, and not comparable

think you will find there bazzman, that both quoted figures stated RWHP..

im well aware of the diff between @fly and @wheels.

i guess that even at worst if tdi's kit made 15 rear wheel horses then thats pretty good just for a manifold would you say...

yes mr fartgo you may be well aware of the differences between fly and wheel, but are you aware of the differences between hub and wheel :shifty:

without a before figure there is nothing to compare it too, and only an assumption can be made !

So whats happened, have you just had your precats out and the std manifold pulse tuned? Shame you didn't have a before and after dyno, thought that tdi was after a guinea pig for this. dyno's done on different days and different dynos aren't worth much. Glad your happy tho

Gents,

We were unable to do a reference power run prior to the mod. However this is not important to us as we do not intend marketing this modification as it is very labour intensive (unless anyone specifically requests it) and as we have other plans for the is300.

As many peeps have mentioned, it is impossible to compare figures from one dyno to another (unless they are both Rototest which are automatically corrected for atmospheric conditions and do not suffer from variable parasitic losses).

The good thing is that Ahmet now has the sort of flywheel power that he should have, and seems to be happy with it. Fair play to him B)

I would like to point out that the pulse tuning mod TDi have fitted to Ahmets car was designed on mine during the R&D for their new manifold.

Mark showed me some of the before and after dyno charts when I went to collect my car...I can't remember the exact figure, but it gave something near a 15BHP increase and a massive change in the mid to higher range torque!

The new manifold should be excellent and I hope to be able to give my review soon!! :winky:
