Installing A Capacitor

Recommended Posts

Hi guys in the middle of building a new sound system, have the new HU in, new 6 x 9's and a sub and 2 amps in the boot. One is a 1200w powering the sub and another 4 channel power the rears and eventually the fronts too. So i bought a 1.2 farad capacitor for my last car and never installed it. Anyone know how i can hook this up so it benefits the 2 amps. I have no idea how to wire it in. cheers

mines wired with the negative side going to earth, then the live coming from the Battery going to the positive then from the positive as well to the amps. (I think)

Only wired mine up to the amp for my sub though as i felt that was what really needed it and not so much the door speakers or 6x9's.

I'm sure if i've wired it wrong someone will correct me shortly but i'm sure thats how i've got mine.
