Power Steering Pump

I have just had my 1999 Lexus is200 serviced and they have told me my power steering pump is leaking and that i need a new one. They have quoted me five hundred pound for a new one. Has anybody else had this problem or know if the pump comes any cheaper?

got all mine done for £250 from local garage had some one from lexus come n do it

if its leaking at the top pipe u can replace the seals on that pipe........ but most people find that it leaks a bit at the top and then seals itself and doesnt leak further.
