On the Ser 4 the side lights have another section at the end, (on the corner?). Are these USA style running lights, left unconnected? Can they be re-activated?

Thinks......why doesn't the lazy s*d unscrew the things and look himself? :crybaby:

do you mean the corner lights on the wing/headlamp corner ? these are the front indicators or do you mean the corner lights on the bottom of the front bumper next to the fog lamp ?

you must mean the ones on the bottom of the front bumper. If you take it off its just an empty shell which you should drill a hole into and fit a running light (couldn't see any obvious spare power connectors hanging). I'm not sure if its legal to fit additional running light ???

I often think to myself that if i was to prepare a track ready Mk4 LS400 i would take out these blank lights and the fog lamps and replace them with mini oil coolers :)

Why would you want them? To my mind, they confuse people. At a quick glance, it might look like you have hazards on, or if you can only see one corner of the car (eg front angle at a junction) like you are indicating one way - and then go and move in another!

Sorry, only just read this reply.

Just because Volvo do it from the factory doesn't mean I don't think it's still confusing!
