Ahh i was baffled at first (escort came to mind) then worked out that you were talking about the Altezza RS200. Here is the information i found below.

This is a stunning example of Japanese engineering, the Altezza in Europe is commonly known as a LEXUS IS200. However, you may find that the Altezza has many hidden extras, for one there is the 210ps engine that has been tuned by BEAMS in Japan, for another the Altezza comes with E-Shift gears on the steering wheel.

but no 0-60's :(

I like Rs200 , i want to get a Altezza engine to my Is200 does anyone do this b4?Will it cheaper than Super charge ? the reason is Australia don't have Altezza

I believe someone has done this conversion in Melbourne already. Purchased a track Altezza from Japan (Wrecked) and bolted engine onto IS200. It's a Yellow IS200 is all I know.

But this is illegal to do so i think.

There has also been a conversion done in taiwan as well.

To me the Altezza is a good engine, however there is a worry that can the climax of Singapore or Australia affects this Car. It is only been use in Japan. There must be a reason they do not export it.

i guess that Lexus did not get RS200 in its marketing plan becos the 4 cyc engine in the RS200. The ride quality may not match Lexus' image of smoothness :D:D

Boreno Motors are conservative people. Even for the IS200, they only bring in auto model and no manual model.

The 6 cylinders IS200 is much smoother than the 4 cylinders RS200. In my opion, the 6 cylinders car are better option like BMW 320 is a 6 cylinders car with vanos engine.

Guess you guys are right. However to my own point of view, I dont really care how smooth the engine is, as long as it is not nosy. Heard from the parrel importer "leco" that there are 60 Alteeza out there in Singapore. I am still looking for facts of hitting 0 to 100 km/h time. Any one there can help?
