Brake Caliper Wind Back Tool

What sort of caliper wind back tool are people using when replacing pads on the Mk3 and later LS400s since these have 4 piston calipers at the front, 2 on each side of the caliper.

The tutorial on www.lexls.com shows the case for the 2 piston calliper on the earlier LS400 which won't work for the Mk3 and later ones. I'm guessing if you try to push one or two pistons in using the old plier method the other two will pop out ?

Perhaps a G-clamp with a flat bit of metal to go across both piston faces?

just put a piece of wood or metal stock over both pistons on each side the using a speader pust from between the pistons

This is what I use, has worked on everything I have had so far.

Pull the calipers and use 2 c-clamps over the old shoes, pop the cover of your master cylinder and start compressing. The pistons will retract and then you can put in the new shoes. Works for me...

i use a big pair of water pump plyes always work but as most have said put a old pad on there first as it pushes 2 at the time

All i ever use is a g-clamp and piece of metal or as matt says old brake pad

I just pull the caliper towards me (with it still on) to open up a gap between the pads and disk and then use a couple of screw drivers (or similar) on either side of the disk and gently lever the pads open.
