I know you have seen it before, but I do like showing it off. I've spent the best part of today with a bottle of Autoglym in one hand and a cloth in the other.

Very nice jsj. I was in Lexus Guildfod this morning and they have 2 430's the same as yours (05 Plates) and they are going for £28950 each. They also had a newly delivered 600h hiding round the back which I drooled over for half an hour or so. Fully understand your passion. Carry on enjoying. Graham.

One thing I would say Aztecbandit is cleaning it takes ages. Washing took an hour and polishing took the best part os 2.5 hours. When you look for one, like I did you will see a black one and fall in love with it but all I can say is find a silver one. Then you have got half a chance of it staying clean.

I dont mind the cleaning matey as i spent nearly 7hrs doing my IS last weekend it does look sooooo nice in the black :D

7 hours, your arms must be the size of tree trunks for spending 7 hours cleaning. Do you have any paint left? Just kidding with you. I wish I had the time to spend on it. I love cleaning it.

Does having a black car remove the need for using clay as it seems the only muck you get off with clay is black muck?

Nope unfortunately not. car looks lovely mate i want that shine on mine.

my ls430 is going in for service soon an they have asked on the letter whether i want a upgraded carwash. is this the superguard. they are asking for £90 inc vat

I think the best way to get a good shine on it is to spend a quiet afternoon, with a bit of classic FM a bottle of Autoglym a couple of dusters and enjoy the afternoon to yourself. I'm planning on polishing mine every other month.
