Looks fantastic (and draws many comments to that effect)

Superb 17" wheels (Mine are not tarnished (yet??))

Very comfy seats

Phallic Gearknob!

Fun to drive with excellent road manners

Fantastic Sat-Nav, even though I have older CD version

I suppose the dashboard is growing on me

Outstanding reliability

Good security

Good quality stereo (Sounds better than it looks)

Gorgeous engine note when you give it some welly!

Good level of equipment (but not perfect (see below)

I don't think Alan Partridge has completely killed the image - it's still cool!

Dislikes:

Steering wheel moves up and down, not in and out

Paintwork gets chipped if a stone so much as looks at it

Not as fast as it looks or sounds

Expensive to keep sat-nav up to date

Dashboard not to everyones tastes

That ridiculous mpg guage

No trip computer (no excuse for that one)

No memory in seats (I think it is fitted to newer ones)

Overall, could be better toyed up considering it's competing with BMs and Mercs.

No cruise control (on manuals)

You hit the red line too soon after the power has really kicked in

Notchy gearbox

Clutch vibration

I know its a bit late in the day, but................

Likes:

It looks good, better than the majority of its competitors

It is very well spec'd, better than the majority of its competitors

Fanatstic security, (Whar Car rated the complete Lexus range)better than the ALL of its competitors

Wheels, apart from the corrosion, sometimes!better'ish than the majority of its competitors (they look good)

Cool Dashboard, better than the majority of its competitors

Great to drive, better than the majority of its competitors

Nice Leather Interior/Seats

Cool Stereo

Dislikes:

Not enough oomph at low end of the rev counter

No on board computer, and absolute must!

No memory on the seats....try adjusting the seats when you hit the motorway and want to floor it and relax! Imagine what it's like when you come of the M1 and are hitting the A5, try and adjust the seats from a motorway position...sorry rambling.

Gearbox and bit doge

Needs folding rear seats cause boot is a tad tinky!

Otherwise, best car I've had to date

My Altezza has a much more useful Oil Pressure guage in place of the rather twee MPG guage, but don't you guys have a trip computer?

If I press the button on my Odometer, I have and 'A' and 'B' trip mileage to cycle through. Hold it down to reset them?

I have manual seats (can't get Altezza with electrics), but no-one else drives my car :P

Makes you wonder then why Lexus never sold the manual 300 over here? I'd assume they did their research and the outcome was that demand for the auto would be higher? Strange...

Could it be something to do with emissions (is that the correct spleling) <_<

PS I've just discovered the extra Smilies (after nearly a year)

I'm sure I read somewhere a while back, or even from a dealer that they couldn't fit the manual box in with the 300 engine (the same from the GS300) due to physical constraints.

It's a real shame. I don't mind autos, but manual is where it's at B)

My pet hates are - no power point in the boot or for the rear passengers, and check out that poxy light in the boot. As for the navigation, dont bother its not worth the money, if you want a navigation system buy the "Garmin Streetpilot3" and you can always use it portable for less than half the price. Otherwise not bad, very popular with thieves.

We have the same odometer, but no trip computer showing average mpg, speed, time, range left on fuel etc.
