Is200 Alarm Problem

HI I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY IS200 ALARM, WHEN I LOCK IT UP AND THE ALARM IS ACTIVATED IT KEEPS GOING OFF FOR NO REASON? DONT UNDERSTAND WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT, IT DOES IT SOMETIMES AND SOMETIMES IT DOESNT! CAN ANYONE HELP? THANKS

Have you tried disabling the ultrasonics?

Just so you'll know if it is a dirty door/bonnet/boot switch connection or the internal space sensor.

I can't remember which way now - on one version of 200 it was to press lock again within 5 seconds. On the second version I think it was press and hold until the indicators flash? Best check that one out - or until someone reminds us here.

I thought when you turned the car off that the air vents close automaticly after a few seconds ?

yes they do after about 10 secs but i have had it in the past in windy conditions it sets the alarm off - i closed all the vents and no probs afterwards

the strange thing is that it happens sometimes for example, yesterday i was parked in kensington city and it kept going off but then when i came back to east london and parked up it was fine!
