Buying An Is200 Help Needed.

Recommended Posts

First off nice forum. Glad i found it.

Ive been looking at cars for over a month now. Ive looked At Volvo's, seat's etc. Then all of a sudden i noticed the interior of a IS200. Wow. From that moment, ive really grown to love the car. I'm about to buy one within the next few weeks. I'm going to buy one that is about 4-5 years old and about 50,000 miles. Ive read all about cambelts etc, but just a few things i just cannot find out. Please help.

1. Whats the difference between the models. ie S,ES,Sport?

2. Would you buy one with Sat Nav?

3. Whats the preffered choice. Manual or Automatic?

I thank you all for your time and help in this matter? :winky:

Welcome T2000. Noel has highlighted everything spot on. Regarding manual or automatic it's obviously down to your individual preference, what do you drive at the minute? and what transmition is that?

Brilliant Noel. Very helpful. Just what i needed. Guess i'll be buying the sport model too.

It doesnt bother me whether its manual of automatic to be honest. I have driven both. Just wondered what everyone else prefered.

I'll start looking for a RED Is200 sport. I think the red one looks the best out of all the colours.

No matter where you are going to look, you will not find one as nice as Bazza's car, its only got just over 20k on the clock to :D

I saw that. Poor car hasnt been run in yet :P

I'm seeing one with 60k on the clock, but has had all the lexus servicing done by lexus, including the 60K one.

Plus i love the full leather seats and wheels on the newer cars.
