Our American cousins must be frustrated with the lack of mods available for the second generation IS so are colour coding the engine cover.... quite like this red one B)

Nice so when is yours getting the treatment then?

I don't think spraying it Cadoxton Slate instead of black would have the same effect :whistling: they look ok when there's a good contrast though....

Look very nice, could do that with my, but how much will it cost? if only i can find a good body shop in my area... :crybaby: :crybaby:

paint wise.. i would say normal body shop paint through a HVLP gun.. but the main thing would be the prep.. and what the primer is.. as that is what will need to bond to the plastic..

but for how long it would last for.. i dont know.. it always has a tendancy to crack or lift on the corners due to excessive heat eventualy..

I agree with the carbon cover not being all that special.. needs some details would be nice to get a cover for the stock one that would put carbon on the red painted areas ans have a body coloured "V" area

That's the IS350 V6 cover...the IS250 V6 cover doesn't really lend itself to that sort of paint job, unfortunately. :angry:

Don't laugh at this...but can anyone tell me how it comes off! It appears to be fixed in the centre somehow.

It's just located on pins and clips, a good upward pull is all that's necessary.
