Windscreen Reflections

Recommended Posts

I have a 2006 RX300. Reflections off the dashboard onto the windscreen are very obtrusive in strong sunlight. Does anyone know of a product to coat the dashboard and prevent the reflection? Anyone else had and solved this problem?

When the sun's at the "right" angle you can be almost blinded by the reflections from the brownish dash on the RX we have. It may look stupid but we have matt black corduroy cloth folded in front of the driver. This is 100% effective and is like having a hole cut out of the windscreen! Try an old black tee shirt and see what I mean.

It's true...hence why some old Ferraris (246 Dino I remember well) had a black flock finish to the dash top.....they may not build reliable cars but the italians know something about driving in strong sunlight!

Best regards David
