What Size Wheels Are Best, 17" 18" 19"

Recommended Posts

What size wheels work best with the IS 200 because I'm looking for something that I can bolt on and not have to worry about the tyres rubbing on the body work, also I want to know if its possible to fit deep dish rims without having the wheels sticking out further than the body work.

I would say 17's for tyre prices but depends of thats an issue?

18's and 19's both look good though

Anything above 18" can be quite difficult to live with....the rims aren't far off the ground and can be damaged quite easily by potholes, small kerbs, large stones etc.

Nah right ones for me :D

I have 18" wheels on my IS200, 45ET Front 50ET Rear, the rear arches need a minor roll to stop any touching under

hard cornering or 3-4 passenger use.

Full info

PCD = 114.3mm

Front: 18" x 8" 45mm offset & Tyre size (front) 225/40R18,

Rear: 18" x 8.5" 50mm offset & Tyre size (rear) 255/40R18

working out what fits quite mathematical, its affected by the width of the tyre fitted and the offset of the wheels.

If I had the dosh, I would get custom made 3 piece light weights 19 x 9.5 rears and 19 x 8 fronts

Prices are very reasonable compared to some of the Jap/US brands
