Replacement Key For '96 Gs300 1st Gen?

Hey guys!

My dad has just bought a 96 1st gen GS 300 sport, but it's missing the key with the remote central locking on. Having just sold his Citroen C5 (*shudder*) that cost him over £90 for a new key, and to have it coded to the car etc, how much is a Lexus one? He's hoping it's not quite as bank breaking as that...

Hi there,

Just bought my first GS300 MK1 and it does not come with buttons on the key. It has a separate fob with 2 buttons on it and it costs quite a bit. I have one fob but use the key instead as if I use fob to lock it and it fails when I try and unlock it, the car may be locked for good!

Strange, his first Lexus GS was N reg, had it before the C5, and had remote locking on the side of one of the keys, just one button on the key.

Was at an optional extra?
