Shipping Services For Wheels

As a private individual you'll be lucky to get a rate like £20 for that weight - Was the original seller a shop?

Do a search on google for 3rd party shipping - They act as middlemen between the standard domestic carriers (Bus Post, Parceline, DHL, FedEx etc) and you often get a reasonable rate - they have high volumes and pass some of the discount onto you - they keep their %age.

Most of the major courier services wont collect or handle without an account (the reputable ones anyway) so the above is a good way of getting a reasonable rate and collection from your home.

Target used to have a very good reputation for quality of service / minimal damages - but now they have been bought by Citylink - I'm not so convinced....

I think he was a trader, yes. I did think it was amazing rate, I didn't think I'd get that price but wanted to see how reasonable I could get.

senditnow.com is very cheap, and they collect from you which is sometimes easier

here

Thanks, looks like that uses ParcelForce. Does seem quite good if I'm reading it right.

I dont get it. What are the limits of size/weight?

Or will they deliver ANYTHING next day for £11.99?

The size/weight limits are here. They do make it sound like a flat rate for anything up to 30kg though, which does sound very good of that's correct (and it sounds like false advertising if it's not correct).

I just started filling in the details on their website (as if I was sending something) to check that it really is a flat rate, and yes, it is, for up to 30kg (size limits too). Seems very good to me.

and the added bonus if its over 30kg as soon as the collections driver accepts it its in their care :winky:

i use them all the time when selling things on eBay

I use parcel to go, they charge £6.39 per wheel (package) plus VAT for 1-2 days, and i've never had a problem with them (I didn't upgrade the insurance value either as that price only covers for £50)

I used senditnow for my car door for £10.99 2-days , dimensions didn't matter, but I declared weight as 25kg
