thanks forr any help

ps the mechanic was looking up through underneath of car on drivers side at rear of engine

Steve,

Open the page, then right click on the address on the top line, the bit that starts with http://, it should all go blue when you right click on it and a drop down box will appear, one of the options is "copy" left click on that.

Answer this thread and when you get to the point where you want to put it in, put your mouse bar where you want it and right click again, another drop down box appears, left click on "paste" and the link will appear as if by magic!!!!

Have a go

Pete

This article on lexextreme refers to the UCF10 engine (mkii and mkii)

On the MKiii the EGR pipe comes in 2 halves. I beleive it was an updated design to make replacement a little easier. (questionable???)

I too had a blowing pipe and it is VERY annoying after a couple of thousand miles.

It took about 6 hours for me to replece it and the part was about £60 back in Dec 05.

Like "RAC" says, it is having the tools that helps.

I too managed it by getting on top of the engine, also did part from underneath, with a "string hoist" acting like a second hand because access is so limited. PM me and I will email a set of pics over.
