A friend sent this to me, Amazing!!! :winky:

This photo was taken by a soldier in Afghanistan of a helo rescue mission.

The pilot is a PA National Guard guy who flies EMS choppers in civilian life.

Now how many people on the planet you reckon could set the ***** end of a

chopper down on the roof top of a shack, on a steep mountain cliff, and hold

it there while soldiers load wounded men in the rear. If this does not impress

you... nothing ever will.

Damn, that guy can fly... Holding a chopper in one place is hard enough over flat ground, let alone a 50ton chopper hanging off the side of a mountain with people and equipment running around inside. The downdraft coming back off the ground from those massive rotors will be trying to drag it all over the place!

I'm going to be doing some fixed-wing flying next year, always wanted to and have done a few trial lessons which I've loved. Will take it up properly when it starts warming up next year hopefully.
