Best Way To Prep Windscreen For New Wipers? What Should I Do?

Recommended Posts

My new wipers arrived on the weekend but as I've been busy with uni I havent had a chance to fit them but seeing as I've now finished whats the best way to prep the windscreen for the new wipers? I've never prepped a windscreen in the past but I've heard you should clean the screen with soda or something and the wipers as well...

any suggestions?

OK, this may sound daft, but, it really works... Get a lint free cloth and soak it in warm water. Get a tube of toothpaste and sqirt a blob on the wet cloth and wipe your windscreen fairly hard. Do this a couple of times. Then wash of with warm clean water and dry with a chamois... (and yes!! I do watch how clean is your house!!!! amn't I sad git.. lol)..
