Tte Black Box For Sc Kit

I've just been doing a spot of tidying and found a brand new TTE black box - ie the bit that is connected into the ECU loom so that the factory ECU can deal with seeing positive boost from the supercharger.

What are these things actually worth as I've not been around the IS200 scene for a while?

how i wish u had found that 3 months ago before i spent lots of $$$ on the new silver box. i would have bought that without hesitation (even though i heard it was prone to failure) oh well.

the silver box was a good investment though...

lowers engine rpm to 6200 so u never get the fuel cut and then avoid killing the cats and also has bit of a fault diagnostic built in

^^ exactly what rob said. Here is the file TTE sent me explaining the function and well as the the fault codes for LEDs on the box. the LED blinks to let you know its working correctly

It costs around 500euros. you could buy a Greddy utlimate for around the same price. i chose this cause i didn't care to look for someone to tune the ultimate.

chose the silver box only if you're looking for a quick plug and play solution that will protect the cats and doesn't require soldering/wire cutting. if you're planning to tweak and tune to get 230hp out of the charger like sparkystav did, this is not for you

i have a solver ecu sitting on my desk for the last year and looking at it there is a small toggle switch built in - anyone know what this switch does??
