Have been to the dreded Halfords... they don;t stock anything suitable, been to several local Motorfactors... they don't stock either!

Please don't say Lexus managed to stitch up the flipping wiperblades to be supplied from self only too!??!?! :tsktsk:

The problem I have found is that any regular 22" would not be appropriate as the O/S uses a double arm and attatches with what looks like a special "clasp/clip" to the blade.

Clarification from the wiser members would be much appreciated :D

I have a MK3 and fitted a Bosch Super Plus 22S 550mm/22" c/w wind deflector £11 from local auto shop. They changed the rubber in the passenger side for a couple of quid. Result; quiet and smear free wipers.

Hello Balch,

do not despair, there is a cheap solution.

Use the same plastic fitting that you use for the passenger side blade, but, here is the clever bit, where the plastic clip hits the metal of the wiper arm just trim it off with a Stanley knife.

I have done this and it works like a charm. You can reuse the plastic clip, so you only have to do it once and you can now buy your wiper blades from anywhere you like. :winky:

Mine have been attached to the car like this for over 12 months now and there is no sign of the clip working loose or the blade becoming unstable.

Hope this helps you.

Redsteve.

P.S. Merry Christmas. :hohoho:
