Another Armrest Thread

Hi all

I really want to get an armrest for my is200 but after searching the forum it seems that i can only get them in the states and its going to cost over 200 quid for it.I was wondering would i be able to get one from a breakers is300 over here and if so what would i need to ask for as i know i need a fair few bits to make it fit the is200.

hi mate,

you will be very very very very lucky to get an item like that from the breakers ... depends if your quick enough or have any contacts with people from a breakers yard.

i went to a breakers yard a week back and from 4 lexus's there was just the shell of the car with the general bits and bobs..nothing i found of interest...

I was thinking that myself but thought id check on here is there any sites in the states or anywhere else for that matter lol that are good that people have used?

even if you find a arm rest on eBay they go for big buck. i think last time it was around 250 quid

Did you get yours from the american eBay or from another site?

eBay motors mate which is american eBay, type in lexus is300 it will come up with a lot but you will need to look through 141 pages to find them...

There is a guy on uk eBay right now called 200mph, he is breaking a IS200 auto and i mailed him about armrest, he wants £165 for it, tried haggling with him but no joy, if your willing to pay that give him a message, he might still have it, sorry cant link you to his advert as i'm at work and eBay is blocked.

As said by others, the front armrest is hard to come by and expensive when you do find one for sale.

You might be able to get a armrest from a UK breakers yard- but in my experience they will want to sell you the whole interior, not just the armrest.

A few years ago I got a price from my local Lexus dealer (Leeds) for the complete armrest- v expensive!!! For example, the leather part of the armrest I quoted £300 + VAT!!!

Keep searching eBay (US)- you will find one.

Been searching the us eBay and havent come across one as of yet.Think you all must of beat me to them .I gave the uk bloke an email and he had it but he wants 175 for it so might try my powers of persuasion

His price has went upa tenner in a week, he's not for shifting on the price, i like to think i was pretty good at the haggling, but this guy wouldn't budge, best of luck.

Cheers mate yeah i thought it had lol.his email said to me its 175 so its probably way out of your price range as a uk buyer as most of the them that he sells goes onto his us site .Oh well il just have to keep searching

beige arm rests exist, I got a black one and in mine which has beige interior but the black centre console means the black arm rest doesn't look out of place at all
