Tow Ball Weight

Hi, I've been trying to find a topic without success so ill just ask the question.

If anyone has a 2011 rx450h and tow's a caravan,do you know the max weight on the towball?

The 400h was 80kg and not sure if its the same or more

I would imagine that it would be very similar to the 400h. Generally, for a safe tow, work on around 7% of the Actual Laden Weight of the caravan as a guide to the best noseweight. I am sure that your Lexus dealer or the Caravan Club could give you recommended noseweights as laid down by Lexus.

Having just checked with a towbar suppliers website the max noseweight is 80Kg. I tow regularly with my 400h using a max of 75Kg without any problems whatever.

According to the fitting instructions, the nose weight is indeed 80kg :)

What does your Lexus dealer say or have you not asked?

My towbar states 90kg max , been towing a 1450kg caravan with this nose weight since I got it and everything has been fine, tows lovely :)
