London Lexus Dealers

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Has anyone service their IS250 from a London lexus dealer lately? How much did you pay for a major service?

Do the prices vary from dealer to dealer?

Thanks.

Alex

Any London owners can assist me?

Might be worth checking your local Toyota dealership. I'm sure it will be cheaper than a Lexus dealership, and will use exactly the same parts.

Hi Hondaman,

Do you know whether using a Toyota dealer to service you card would void the warranty?

Would using a toyota dealer reduce the value of the car due to it not being a full 'lexus' dealer service history?

Thanks.

Alex

More than likely it would. In my case seeing as my car is a 55 plate coming up for the 40k service, I may use a trusted independent that I know. B)

Hi All,

Does anyone else use toyota dealers for their Lexus? Does it affect your manufacturer's warranty?

Thanks,

Alex

My car has a recall that will be sorted by a Toyota dealership in the near future.

So if you service your lexus by Toyota, does that affect the warranty?

If you can, pop along to Lexus Croydon- its the one on thr Purley way, sat next door to the Toyota dealership.

If you look, you'll notice that neither have workshop facilities attached to either unit.

Walk round the corner to the workshop that they both use, same parts desk etc, etc.

I get my Lex serviced in Crawley by Toyota- even comes with a Lexus letterhead on the invoice...

I would say you are lucky - my local Toyota refuses to touch anything on my LS400 and refers me to Lexus some 20 miles away. As far as workshop is concerned I had a very similar experience Lexus and Toyota showroom side by side and when Lexus drove my car away they drove it to the worshop round the back of the Toyota showroom! And of course if I want any Lexus parts I order them from the parts department, the Toyota parts department that is.

Hi, my Lexus dealership is also attached to a Toyota dealership and both use the same workshop facilities, but NOT the same mechanics or technicians as they preferred to be called, and I think that is the main difference.
