Oil In 2006 Gs300

Hi all

I have just had my (new) Gs300 serviced the garage said he had put in long life Synthetic oil

Is this the correct oil it looks like it says multigrade in the book

He is my local garage and he is not a bad lad really , before i bought the car i did ask him if he would have a problem servicing it for me and he said " No problem at all " so that was when i decided to get the car ive had it a couple of weeks now and very pleased i am with it

The oil will be multigrade but it might be an idea to find out which oil and grade he used in case you need to top it up between services.

I have 10w-30 in my handbook which is the recommended viscosity oil for temperature ranges between -18 and above 38 degrees Celcius so fine for the UK.

The oil is perfectly fine, you just don't benefit from long life synthetic oil because the service schedule isn't variable. Cheaper just to stick with a good quality semi-synthetic oils.

My Omega 3.2 i changed oil every 6 months with semi synth i think ill follow your advice and use semi synth
