Very true about the service history, so when was the cambelt replaced for example?

The very least I would expect is some fresh oil and a filter.

Sat navs can be converted for a price but TV is now obsolete.

Dosn't mention if on air suspension but looking at the strut tops I would say it has and these could be affected by the lack of use and if the Battery was flat it obviously has not been started regularly.

Been stood for some time but where, the middle of a farmer's field? Also brakes and other things deteriorate if the car is not used regularly.

Bearing in mind the exhausts are stainless steel why was it replaced?

The price is reasonable, when I bought my 1994 import 6 years ago I paid £3750.00 and coincidentally it also had the equivalent of 38,000 miles ( 62,000 KMs)

Worth a look as the paint looks good but bear in mind the insurance on imports.

There are few ls400s with that kind of mileage ,Mine is a rare 20k now and thats a 98 but it is mint and uk registered nether the less I paid twice what this is going for and at the end of the day it is a Lexus, with regards the cambelt I had mine changed immediatly for peace of mind but it only cost £350 at Lexus Glasgow and with only 40k on it it wont need much else with regards the back box that could have been damaged in shipping or whatever.eventually if you want a low mileage ls400 in good nick you will have to make a choice otherwise there won't be any left.

I'd say it's worth to go and have a look at it and have a decent chat with the owner. It looks nice enough and if he can proof the mileage(that would include history from Japan.) it seems like a solid 'investment'

That piston head one is in my town and I'm happy to go and have a look if anyone needs me too. Could check history and general condition but would need a bit of guidance from those who know 430's about other areas to look out for.

I've not heard any bad reports about that dealer but will ask around none the less.
